Our Beaver Colony meets on a Monday evening from 5:15 - 6:15 pm and takes part in a wide and varied series of activities.

The Beaver Colony is for young people, aged between 6 and 8 years.

Beaver Scouts enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visits and helping others.

There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Beaver Scout - you will get the chance to try lots of different activities like sports, games, exploring and learn basic Scouting skills. If you do them well, you will get a badge, which you can wear on your Beaver uniform.

Being outdoors is important in our Group - Beaver Scouts will get to go on trips and days out, to places like wildlife centres, the Centre for Life, the crazy golf course or out and about in the community. Sometimes you will be able to go on a sleepover with the rest of the Colony and do loads of exciting activities.

Typically, our programme of activities will include:

  • Learning First Aid
  • Tracking
  • Learning how to Tie Knots
  • Crafts
  • Games
  • Sports Activities
  • Visits
  • Sleepovers
  • A Range of Activity Badges
  • Hiking and Navigating
  • Wildlife Spotting
  • Cooking
