Welcome to Benton Scouts

We cover the entire area between Wideopen and Shiremoor in North Tyneside.

Welcome to Benton Scout District

The District sits within the western boundary of North Tyneside and includes Wideopen, Benton, Forest Hall, Killingworth, Holystone, Palmersville, West Allotment, Shiremoor and neighbouring villages. As the birth place of George Stephenson our District badge depicts a locomotive from Stephensons era (see below)


Our District is growing in numbers and currently has over 250 young people regularly taking part in Scouting activities.


We welcome new members both youth and adult. There  are flexible adult volunteering opprtunities within our Dsitrict.

We currently have volunteering opportunities for adults across our District.

The roles are flexible and can be as little as once a month.
